Below are a few questions  that we are often asked.

  • Where are you located?

We are a in home mobile service and bring our showroom and samples to you

  • What types of blinds do you sell?

We sell a range of blinds. Blinds come in different styles, venetian, timber, roller, roman, vertical, sunscreen, blockout, outdoor as well as shutters.

  • How do I measure my room?

You don’t need to provide us with your measurements as we will do this when we prepare your quote.

  • How do I obtain a quote?

You can complete the online quote form or contact us directly by phone or e-mail.

  • Do you offer a measure and quote service?

We offer a free, no obligation measure and quote service to all customers living in the Northland region from Kaiwaka north.  6 days a week.

  • Do you carry out service or maintenance work on blinds?

Yes, we do service work on blinds both during the warranty period and outside the warranty.

  • How often do I need to replace blinds?

Our premium ranges come with a full 5-year warranty.

The life of a blind depends largely on how it is treated however there is no reason why you shouldn’t get 10 – 15 years out of a well looked after blind.

  • I have a problem with my blind - what do I do?

If you have any problems with your blinds, please call or email. We are always happy to get the problem sorted for you as soon as possible.

  • Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, our blinds, shutters & curtains come with a five-year warranty (some conditions apply).  For full details please refer to our warranty page.

  • How do I see what colours you offer?

Please contact us directly and we can arrange a time to come to your place.

  • How long does it take for you to make and install my blinds after your quote?

Our approximate completion date is within 15 working days from the date that the order is placed, and payment is received. 

For all quotes, we require a 50% deposit before we can process the order.

Because all of our blinds are custom made to fit your windows, our blinds take between 3 – 4 weeks to be made and fitted.

We don’t use any cheap Chinese imported “readymade” products hence we are confident enough to be able to offer the warranties that we do.

  • What is the widest a blind can be?

We are able to make blinds up to 3m wide

  • How can I pay for my blinds?

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, credit card, Q card or direct credit.

  • What is the best product for a humid bathroom area?

Our roller blinds, vertical blinds or faux timber blinds are suitable in humid areas as long as the room is reasonably well ventilated. 

Our fabrics are easily cleaned and are treated for mould resistance.

  • Where are the blinds made?

All our blinds are made in New Zealand using only the highest of quality components and blind materials.

They are also safe window furnishing being flame retardant and Anti- bacterial.

  • What happens once I have accepted your quote?

Once you have placed your order, we will email you an order confirmation.

This will contain your order number, the items you have ordered, the total cost and your delivery details.

Once your product has been manufactured and is ready to be delivered you will be contacted.

You can email us at any stage to enquire on the progress of your order.

  • Can I change or cancel my order?

As all our products are custom made, any cancellations or any changes to your design need to be requested within 24 hours of placing your order.

  • Can I get a motorised blind with remote?

Yes, we do offer motorised blinds. The cost is an additional. NB: the blind will need to be hard wired by a qualified electrician.

  • Will my blind roll over the top of the tube or down from the back?

Roller blinds can be rolled either forward or back to clear any obstacles like handles and winders. We will discuss this with you when we prepare your quote, to ensure you have choices to consider.

  • How do I clean my blind?

We recommend you dust or vacuum your blinds on a very low suction with a soft brush end.

If you need to spot clean an area, use warm soapy water with a textured white cloth. Allows the blinds to dry naturally.

  • What blinds are best for my home?

Every-one’s circumstances and requirements are different.

Our consultants bring all of our samples out to your home and make suggestions on colours and types of blinds that they think will suit.

  • What are the best blinds for keeping a room cool?

There are several which do the job. A roller or roman blind in a blockout fabric is a good option, or a roller blind in a sunscreen, mesh, fabric is also.

Sunscreen fabrics cut out 95% of UV rays, keep out 85% of the heat and allow you a view outside when the blind is down.  

Another good insulating blind is the “honeycomb” or cellular blind.

  • Can someone assist me with colours?

Yes, most of our consultants have interior design experience and are very creative with colour selection.

  • How soon will you come to quote my blinds?

We offer a 24-hour quote service, 7 days a week.  We are serious about servicing your needs.  We deliver from inception to completion.
